Dr Shailaja Vijaykumar Mane completed her MBBS in 1991 from Govt Medical College, Miraj in 1st class. She later pursued her post-graduation in Pediatrics(MD) from Govt Medical College, Miraj. During her residency in Civil hospital, Sangli, she had completed housepost in Pediatrics and Skin VD. She had experience of Registrar post in Pediatrics for 1.5 years. She had completed her postgaduation under the guidance of Prof. Dr Dilip Karmarkar, senior most Pediatrician From Sangli.Morbidity and Mortality in Newborns delivered in General Hospital Sangli.
She had completed her M.D. in Pediatrics in 1995 with First Class and stood Second in Shivagi University, Kolhapur. She had given several health talks on All India Radio, Sangli. She had many articles published in local news papers in Sakal, Pudhari etc. She joined as a pediatric consultant in Lokmanya Hospital,Chinchwad Pune in 2001 She had received FRIPH from London in 2004. She had completed PGDMLS (Postgradute Diploma in Medico Legal Scinces ) in First Class from Symbyosis Institute of Health Sciences,Pune in 2004. She had also completed PGDPC (Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling ) in 2006.
She joined as a Associate Professor in Pediatrics in Padm. Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College and Research Institute ,Pimpri, Pune in 2004. She was promoted as Professor in Pediatrics in Padm. Dr. D. Y.Patil Medical College, Pimpri.
Dr Shailaja Mane is a Masters trainer and Resource Person in various National programs aimed to reduce neonatal and child morbidity and mortality.PPTCT by NACO, IMNCI, RNTCP, Life Skills Education in Adolescents organized by ACCI, IMNCI, FNBC, BPNI.She is also trained in ICHGCP guidelines by W.H.O. Dr Shailaja Mane has published A Case of Incontinentia Pigmenti in December, Indian Pediatrics,2006. She has published research paper in Archives of Clinical Psychiatry in 2010.
She is having teaching experience of more than 10 years and experience as an examiner for undergraduate students. She is a approved teacher in MUHS Dr D.Y.Patil University, Gujarat University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Karnataka.She is a life member of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Indian Medical Association, BPNI, IYCF.
She was a part of organizing comitee for many conferences and workshops including training of trainers(TOT). for BPNI, Life Skills Education, and Womens National Conference in Cummins College,Pune.She is also a Member of Board of Studies in Dr. D. Y.Patil Medical College and University Pune. She is selected and trained as a “Adolescent Health Ambassador” of India. She is a trainer for Mission Kishor Uday Programme of Indian Academy Pediatrics at National Level.
